Heather Marie Professional Vocalist 1940s Singer Wartime Singer

Heather Marie was born in St Helens, Merseyside, and has been performing professionally throughout the UK since 2009, bringing you music from wartime, musicals, swing, big band, and the 1940s and 1950s.

Below are some highlights of Heather’s career –

Performed and provided backing vocals for celebrity artists at the Dame Vera Lynn 100th Birthday Celebration Concert at the London Palladium with the Maida Vale Singers

Special guest vocalist with the Central Band of the Royal Air Force at a sell out concert at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro

Concert soloist with the Band of the Royal Air Force College at the RAF College Cranwell Spring Whittle Hall Concerts and also at the Princess Alexandra Auditorium in Yarm

Cathedral tour with the Band of the Royal Air Force College to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain in aid of the RAF Association

Concert soloist with the Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment at the Hall for Cornwall in Truro

Featured soloist with the Royal Air Force Squadronaires at a Help for Heroes fundraising event and at the Royal Air Forces Association Annual Conference at the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne

Featured soloist with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra at the Specsavers Liberation Ball in Guernsey

Resident performer at the historical Petwood Hotel in Lincolnshire, appearing there regularly for dinners, afternoon tea, corporate functions and on New Years Eve.

Heather Marie has performed for leading national/international charities and companies including : The Royal Air Forces Association, The Royal Air Force, The Royal Navy, The TA, Royal British Legion, The National Trust, The RHS, Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, Manchester Pride, Boots, Specsavers, Honda, MS Society and the RSPCA to name just a few.

Often appearing on both radio and television programmes and in national magazines, Heather has been featured on the BBC, ITV, BFBS and in Vintage Life Magazine amongst other publications.

Heather continues to perform throughout the UK at national events, wartime weekends, corporate functions, charity events, vintage fairs, weddings and private functions.

Heather now lives in Hertfordshire with her husband Squadron Leader Matthew Little who is a Director of Music in the Royal Air Force.

Heather Marie is a member of the Royal Air Forces Association, and is proud to raise funds for the RAF Association Wings Appeal through the sale of her albums “At Last” and “A Very Vintage Christmas” www.heathermarie.co.uk/CD and through other fundraising activities such as events, performances, volunteering and through completing the London Marathon in 2012 and 2015.

Heather has performed for the RAF Association Annual Conferences alongside the Band of the RAF Regiment in 2012 and the RAF Squadronaires in 2013 and 2015. Heather also appears at many RAF Association branch events including dances, mess functions, dinners and outdoor events.

“Afternoon Tea with Heather Marie” is a new entertainment and fundraising initiative created by Heather Marie and Sqn Ldr Matt Little. The event launched in St Helens in March 2015 and subsequent events in Lincoln raised over £1000 for the RAF Association during 2015. The event will continue to travel the UK featuring local acts.

In 2013 Heather Marie was honoured to be invited to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party as a thank you for all of her fundraising efforts on behalf of the RAF Association.

Heather also supports other charities with a special charity concession rate and has performed for the RSPCA, the National Museum of the Royal Navy, St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice, Age UK, VC Trust, Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage, Lincolnshire Bomber Command Memorial and the MS Society amongst others.
